Talking anorther aif filter ?

has any one fabbed up a cone filter in a stock airbox? which flows better a panel or cone filter??

I haven't seen a cone filter in the stock airbox myself, but the drop in filters seem to work well...combine that with your idea to get a Volant ram air scoop (or you could fab that up too), and the air tube from the box to the throttle body, and it should be a set up that works as good as any of the other CAI's out there. I believe that Amsoil makes a direct factory replacement dry filter also

FWIW, the TrueFlow CAI is a panel filter system, and they appear to be pretty well designed to me.

well i have the airaid jr kit now(filter and tube),but i like to tinker with stuff

the true flow is oil less rite? i had an aem brute force on my s10 and loved cleanin that filter

Honestly I'm not sure if the true flow is oiled or not...hmmm

all i can find on true flow is there foam so idk.so you think a panel will flow the same as a cone filter?

i found a 4.5in aem cone filter. so how would one measure surface area on a cone??
