I looked online at a dealer in SE Texas and the sticker was $47,800 and the discount price was $37,400 I didn't look to see if there was additional rebates or discounts. When I get home I'm going over there and have a talk.

I missed the GMS thing by a few days 
But I still got a pretty decent deal. Crew cab SLE 2WD with 3.73, 5.3, towing package, fancy power folding mirrors, upgrade wheels/tires, upgrade cloth buckets, power seat, XM radio, bed liner, bose etc.
Sticker was 33,980. Got 4500 in rebates + 1000 more for older dealer stock and some other junk and that put it at 27.5K (less tax) so that wasnt bad. I didnt really haggle much, I was pissed because my wife backed into my '01 and banged the 1/4 panel pretty good and just wanted a new truck. They gave my 16K for my 01 ext cab SLE (basic 4.8) with 45K and a dented 1/4 and KBB trade was 12.5 on it so to me thats another 3500.00 off the price. Local dodge dealer offered 11.5 on a trade and the local Chevy deal;er offered me 12 so the GMC dealer was being very generous and thats why I went with it.
After looking at the prices on the internet there was no way I was going to buy a new one but I was bored and went to the dealer one day and I was surprised how much they were taking off these. I dont know how much better I could have done with the GMS deal but honestly I'm happy with this truck no matter what I paid

My friend just got him a ext cab Z71 with the L33 and 4.10 gears for 24k and he didnt get but like a 1000 for his trade in.. Sticker on that truck was 34k... not to bad of a deal.. another buddy is about to buy a vho.. sticker 38k.. price 28k.. I think i might even end up in a new one..
