Can I be the only Ls1Tech member with a Sunset Orange Metallic truck?

The color was only available in 2001. The color on the trucks was called Red/orange on the trucks (Because the term Sunset Orange Metallic was reserved for the Corvette and F-body's)

That's the color I wanted when I saw it. Too bad I bought mine in '00. Nice looking color guys!!

 

I've never seen that color on a truck except for yours. At first I thought it was custom paint. I always thought it was pretty cool.

 

I wish that I'd have known about that color when I bought mine. I've seen a couple here and there, but I think yours is the only RCSB that I've seen.

 

One of my favorite colors. I think they should bring it back.

 

I started to get one, but my dad said he wouldn't let me mod anything besides a 2wd cause he didn't see the point of putting performance goodies on a 4wd . So it was either get a Z71 in SOM and keep it stock or get the Yellow truck and be able to modify it. Sure would have been nice to find a Stepside in SOM but the yellow isn't too bad either I guess.

 

I dont have any production numbers but from what I do know about the color is that most of them where shipped to California. And finding one in the frozen northern states is next to impossible.

 

back when they first introduced the "new silverado" back in 98 or 99 they showed it in that color

 

I wanted one before I bought my current truck. I wanted one with the dark charcoal grey leather. I even had them search for one in my area but they came up with nothing. The first time I seen it I thought it was custom paint too but then I seen more trucks with that color.
