Allen at NELSON, the man!
#1
After installing the STS kit last Saturday night the last step was to swap PCMs. We put in the PCM from Allen and the thing fired right up, idled great and the first test ride was good as well. I know the computer needs to learn a bit and I did get a SES code for the crankshaft crap but all that is minor and pretty much expected with my year truck. I called Allen today and he gave me some direction on what to do and what I need to get done when I take the truck in. After a week or so we'll be evaluating the tune and doing some tweaking. All in all I am very pleased with Nelson Performance. When you call, real people answer the phone! They answer real questions and talk politely and don't rush you. Anyone wondering where to go would not go wrong with Allen. And thanks to everyone who helped me make some informed decisions to get to this point.

Easiest way I think is to call. He's got allot going on it seems so just keep calling. Call from work so you don't get the bill....

As soon as I know this thing is right I'll do a short video so people here will know what to expect from the kit on a stock vehicle. Remember, it a 4wd so its a little heavier than some of the 2wd on the board. I am not going to start cutting crap off my truck to lighten it up, I use this thing as a truck on ocassion and want all the trailer crap, skid plates etc. Just trying to "keep it real"
