Exclamation Alarm anomaly

Here is something wierd: my truck is sitting in the garage, untouched, unlocked, all by itself. The alarm starts going off. What the...?

Why is my horn honking away!! My concern is that I may have some electrical problem that could have triggered the alarm.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Any thoughts?

75,000 miles, this truck has never given me one iota of problem.

How sensitive is it? Mine used to do this all the time. I just turned down the sensitivity. This was the factory alarm system, so yours just might be different.

If equiped with a glass sensor, turn down the sensor. Some high frequencies wiill set that off alot.

Sorry, I guess I didn't mention this is the factory alarm. The only time the alarm has ever sounded is when I have accidentally pressed the panic button on the key fob.

Now that I think about it - this might be what happened this time. I believe the keys were in my pocket at the time (they are usually sitting in the ignition). Maybe the button got pressed again.

That has happened to me before. I had the keys in hand and was actually pressing my garage opener and the alarm started going off. Then I knew I hit the panic button.
