Can this gauge be hardwired, i'd like to order one, but do not want it plugged in at the DLC all the time, cause i'll knock that sob off everytime with my big club footed self..

Would cutting the connector off and splicing in right behind the DLC be plausible?

thanks,
justin

The plug is actually pretty recessed at the dash when hooked up. Cable comes out the side of the plug rather than the back. I was afraid of the same thing but its fine. I guess you could hack the cable into the OBD2 harness.

It is tucked up fairly well. I wouldn't think you would have a problem. If you do have to hard wire it, it probably wouldn't be that hard.

if you hit it with your foot you probably hit the obd 2 connector every time! its barely there, you should have nothing to worry about, its not even close to bieng as big as say a connector for a programmer, youll love it!
