I'm looking at adding a keyless entry. Is it possible to unplug a factory unit at a junkyard and plug it in in my truck then just get new remotes? Or is there more to it then just a control box. I do have power locks all ready

 

look in your glove box for the RPO code AU0. If you have AU0 just get remotes.
I don't see why you couldn't unhook one from another vehicle and hook it up to yours. But you could get one that's remote start off ebay for like 50 bucks.

 

I don't have the rpo code. I'm thinking keyless is fine my truck sit in the garage all the time.
