Default Adapters/Spacers

Is it safe to race with 2"adapters/spacers in the rear?I dont have a 10 sec.truck, but more of a 12.5 sec. truck going to the track 1-2 times a month.I'm wanting to run Vette wheels (17x9.5) on my 98 s10 and they wont fit without spacers. What do you think?

Get a good quality billet spacer, check them every couple weeks to make sure they're tight, and you should be just fine. Plenty of guys have run them. Dirty30 ran spacers with his vette rims. Zuby on gmfullsize had $40,000 into his truck and ran spacers.
