I found the press release that goes with that car:

(AP) In a stunning move, Honda, one of the most diverse vehicle manufacturers in the world, has released photos of a specialty vehicle it plans to produce in 2004. The vehicle is said to cater to an emerging American sport commonly referred to as “Rock Crawling.”

Dick Yank, Vice President of Marketing for American Honda, spoke in a recent press conference, “Rock Crawling has become as American as apple pie and Blue Jays baseball, and we feel that Honda has a lot to offer in this arena. Most rock crawlers of today must forgo creature comforts as a trade off to building a competition class buggy.” He later went to on to add, “The new rock crawler will be based off the popular Civic platform and will provide comfort and economy in a competition class rock crawler. We will also be releasing a special limited edition APC performance Crawler equipped with clear brake lights, black carbon fiber hood, 26” spinner rims, neon lights, type “R” stickers, and 3 foot rear wings. Colors available for this model will be lime “crawler” green, orange, and the optional mix and match where no two body pieces match. These additions are both stylish and functional for the avid rock crawler.”

Release date is targeted for October 2004, and Honda expects to build approximately 25,000 of the special Civic Crawler.
