just bought 03 up taillights whats needed in wiring to hook them up to a 2001 silverado

I think they're like $15 each or so....I can't remember. I didn't use them on my truck, I just cut / altered the bulb sockets. I would have bought the harnesses if they were available when I did it tho, as I have one less bulb. Not noticeable, but much easier to spend the $30 or whatever. I vote get the harnesses.

EDIT: GMpartsdirect.com has them listed for under $10 each.

That is a great price, I paid around $100 for mine. I also went with the factory harnesses...a friend got them for me for a discount, $24 for the pair

It's very easy to plug in, and it runs along the length of the bumper. The harnessES actually have an extra bulb which coincides with your new lights, as compared to your older ones. Don't be concerned thinking it is an entire wiring harness...it's very small and very easy to do. It takes about 10 minutes to do the whole thing, and plugs right in to the main harness at the rear of the truck. If you lay under there and look where your current tail light harnesses plug in you will see. It's easy, get the harnesses.
