Yeah I've got it but what I want to know is why you don't see it more often. Mine is the only truck I've seen in person that has it. If it were up to me I would get rid of it.

706's on my '00 as well... they flow fine for what I'm doing now... maybe a little port work and some milling later on though....

706 is sand cast and 862 is die cast. Sand casting is a smoother method and in theory will flow slightly better. There was a long discussion on LS1Tech a year or two ago about this. Supposidly the 706 heads will make 5-10 more HP, but that was hear say and no one had dyno results to back it up.

In my own experience, my 00' ECSB ran 14.7@92 with cheap muffler, drop in K&N, and HPP3. It had 706 heads. My 05' Yukon has 706's too and ran 15.6@88 with muffler, K&N, and rough tuning. I have it tuned much better now and gutted the cats so I bet low 15's are possible. Both with 706's and both running better than average times for the mods.
