And I hope GM programs them to shift better than the Pontiac G8's. Lots of complaining about the shift quality on the G8 sites.

They do that to an extent if a specific truck you want is not available on the dealers lot, but not to the degree you'd like. Actually you'd think they'd be able to do it any way you want since they start out with a rolling chassis and just add parts as the truck rolls down the assemble line

Check the option box for 6.0L or 6.2L engine. 9.5" 14-bolt & rear discs come on those.
And according to GM, 5.3L reg cabs will get the 6L80E mid-year. Believe it when I see it. If it does happen, it's gonna be a tough decision for me...
