Just drive it!! drivability is all in the tuning.. I daily drive a 370 with a 251/267 cam with a 3200 converter and it is smooth to drive..

And besides that's 495 rwhp so that's about right for a good 408.

So would seeing the motor after 2 years. Ill see if I can get one when I go.

I know for a fact national speed has a reputable tuner and dyno. Ill be going there pretty soon. Thanks for the reassurance though guys. I was a bit worried

Sorry for ANOTHER double post but if I want to turbo it would i have to lower the compression (Granted its high)? Or can I just slap it on and go?

Turbo it and go! My 6L is pretty much all stock short block with 10.25 comp and I run about 15psi through it.

And if you can run E85, you'll be even better off.

Have a buddy that runs a 408 TA, he loves it, drives it all over. I bet you have almost no issues with it once you get it in and drive it a bit.

That makes me feel a lot better. I might run it NA for 1 or 2 months before I start hooking up all my tubing I'm used to a cam/exhaust only ls1 with a small turbo. So it drives like stock. I guess I'll get used to the Raw 600 hp then ill want more :/ like always.
