6.0 advice

Default 6.0 advice

Whats up guys I need some advice I have a chance to buy a 6.0 short block from a friend of a friend for $800 its has either ls2 or ls3 internals I think, doesn't come with heads ,intake,oil pan, or timing chain cover question is is this a good deal I have a 5.3 in my truck right now so I can swap the stuff needed over.what do you guys think is this worth it? Thanks

Yea that's a bit much for a short block. And if he said it had ls2 or ls3 internals, I would pass. What exactly does he mean. And that would mean someone has opened the short block and had to put it back together. A lot could go wrong rebuilding a short block.

Not sure about the internals thats what I was told. It doesn't sound like a good deal the more I think about it. I just wanted to get some opinions from more experienced people thanks guys

Try living in Hawaii. There is a 4.8 on our local Craigslist and the guy is asking $1500.
