Default #5 setting on ac

is acting up. Every other level works fine until i turn it to #5. It will make a light click when i engage it and the blower wont come on for another 20 or 30 seconds. The compressor will engage when on #5 but the blower wont turn on for about 20 or 30 secs and then it works fine. Whats screwing up here? Somebody please help its drivin me crazy!!
Thanks,
Derek

It's a resistor for the switch. Your GM parts guy should know about it , it's common for it to go bad. The replacement is a little different, so maybe its better.
Oh yeah its a breeze to change, mounted on the heater box under the dash.

Number five setting (or the highest fan setting) is usally full power, or in other words, no resistor. that setting usally has it's own fuse, and relay. I'll see if I can find out for sure..

Mine did the same thing and I brought in for warranty work and they said they replaced the switch and harness, whatever they did it fixed it.

you need a resistor. Your #5 setting does go through it. pull it out and see if it is burnt up or has spots on it.
