Default 5.3 gas mileage. what are you getting?

so what kind of mileage are you guys getting with similar trucks. i have an extended cab short wheel base 2000 z71 and i get 12-13 on mostly open road. truck has always been serviced properly and well taken care of but it does have higher miles on it.

i was wondering what everyone else gets cause this seems awfully low to me.

What size tires do you have on it?

My ECSB when it was stock with the 5.3 would get 19 consistently with my mom driving it back and forth to school. but it is 2wd.

I've never actually calculated mine, and I really don't want to.

mine has been anywhere from 10.5 towing to 23ish cruising.. mind you i did get 26 one time, but i dunno if i can be easy enough on it to try that again.
First weekend of the 4L80E swap i put 1100 miles on her and averaged 21mpg.

I get right around 20 mixed driving, alot of 45 mph cruising to work and whatnot. straight city driving usually around 16 not hammering on it
