Default 4L70E Leak if Overfilled?

Hey like the title states... could a NNBS 4L70E tranny leak if it was overfilled? It is registering on the stick about a half to a quart over filled... thats a guess. Its about a 1/4-1/3 of an inch higher than it should be on the stick. So could it leak if I overfilled it? I did a converter change and its leaking now a little bit so i assumed that it was the front seal... but it looks to be overfilled to a bit, so i was just curious. Thanks for the help!

mine's been overfiled for almost 2 years now with no troubles. I was almost boggled at how high the fluid was on the stick, but all is well I guess. If it ain't broke dont fix it. Stood up to a stockish 6.0 fine for 10k so far.

i just drained it down to a better level out of one of the cooler lines... so we will see if anything happens. i doubt it though. do you think it could hurt it if it is leaking for a while before i get some more money to fix it. i dont feel like removing that beast again.

I wouldn't worry about it. If the level becomes too high, that's what the vent tube is thre for. It'd blow out.
