Best intake for the cost would be a tbss or an ls6 but I would stick with the tbss and a 90mm tb

the cam is whats killing your low end. I had that in a 5.3 and it was a dog down low. You need at least a converter that stalls to at least 3600 to get it to move decent. Mine didnt come alive until around 3500 in the 5.3.

pull the heads and mill them 30
Get some shorter push rods.
TB SS intakes or the NNBS intakes work great. Be sure to get the fuel rail, your current one will not fit.

FAST 90 intakes pop up all the time on LS1tech. But you'd have to get the fuel rails, fuel lines, and the fuel rail mounts. This can all swap over once you do a 6.0 swap

What year is your truck?

Yep, they'll work on all of the GENIII engines

well first thing you need to do is get a 3600 converter and 4.10-4.30 gears and that will make it feel like a whole different truck. That would probably shave 1-1.5 seconds off your 1/4 mile.

I wanted to do the trailblazer intake swap, is it only off the SS models? or do the 5.3 models intake the ones we after? is that just a pull old intake off from the 4.8 and thow this one on? or do we have to swap out injectors and rails or get new ones or is there a sticky about the swap?

I saw a few intakes on Ebay off a trail blazer

Yes the Trail Blazer SS or the 08 and newer GMT900 intake will work. They're the same thing.

You need the fuel rail also, the older 3 bolt style will not work.

Your old injectors, MAP and EVAP sensors will swap over.
