Hey guys I have a 00 GMC Sierra 4.3L with a 5 spd. I have already got a cold air intake kit for it, and new spark plugs. The trk is my DD(when it runs) and i wanna coax a few more ponies out of it, not to race it, but just to know they're there, lol.But also don't wanna kill the mpg's. What do you guys think would be the next step? Throttle body spacer? Anything else?

E-fans, get rid of the A/T's, tune exhaust.... thats about it lol unless you go boost or NX
nothing else is really worth buying for the V6 IMO

 

Only thing left is a tune. Which on a 4.3 isn't worth the power gains, but the shift points N pressures are a lot better. But with you being a 5 speed, a tune would be useless. Maybe some gears depending on what you have.

 

P.S. I do have dual exhaust on it. Forgot to mention that.

 

Gears. You COULD custom port your throttle body. Wouldn't get the throttle body spacer. JET makes some pulleys for the 4.3s too.

 

1.6 roller rockers are dirt cheap for the sbc and he would have 4 extra for spares.
