SSR's suck. But, RSI in Houston has done something nice with them. For just under 20k, you can have a ZO6 crate motor, Manley rods, Wiesco pistons, P/P heads dropped in with a ZO6 style wheels and lowered etc... Drops times from 15.3 @88.4 to 14.3 @97.2 Or they offer a 427 super stroker package.

I just don't like them. Looks like a prowler on roids.

Say what. You mean with a built Z06 motor it will only pull off a 14.3? There's no hope for those ugly things.

When I said "pretty nice", I ment to be refering to the looks. The new Truck Trend has a write up on it. Looks great, but for 20K.

I'm thinking 10k built 408, 5k for wheels/tires and suspension and 5k for install and you could see high 11's or low 12's. At least if I had 20k that's what I would do.

I think if i'm going ugly i'll get an SRT4 that runs 13.8 stock, put bigger pipe on it, tuning, and a good intake. Cost about $1k and run 13 flat-high 12s.

Ugly but effective.

Maybe an SRT-10, but not a 4.
