Default 2wd conversion + 2"/3" drop...

...at the same time. This is on an AWD Silverado SS.

What do I need?

2wd Drop spindles
3" drop rear leafs
2wd driveshaft

Is that a good list?

I have one question about the rear. How does Chevy drop the rear from the factory? Do they remove the blocks, install hangers and shackles or both? I found 3" drop rear leafs, but they are labled for a silverado, nothing about the SS is mentioned. I would hate to get them, and have them be the same as the factory springs.

Thanks guys.

they remove the blocks for the factory rear drop.

if i were you i would do shackles and hangars instead of leafs, leafs are going to ride rougher and have less load capacity.

may i ask WHY you are converting to 2wd?

I want to do a burnout. Really, I am not shooting for the 600RWHP needed for an AWD burnout. But really, I live in Florida, don't tow anything on a regular basis, and wouldn't mind the extra mileage and less weight. Plus, its just less **** that I have to worry about, maintenance wise. Fewer moving parts.

Anyone trying to convert to AWD? Willing to trade with some cash.
