I'm ****** pumped, the weak link is gone, yay! Its a lot easier to swap out the 5.3 for a 6.0 or 6.2 than it is to swap in that 6-speed. Come on lease pull ahead

Another thing i noticed while snooping around the site is they finally are releasin the 5.3 in the Colorado in 2009 i wish theyd offer it in the single cabs but it looks like theyll only offer the 5.3 in ext and Crew cabs.. but it looks like u can get a 5spd 5.3 ecsb 2wd.. that would prob be fun.

I'm sorry to say that it looks like the 5.3 will be backed by the 4L60E only. You have to read the fine print.

does anyone have a guess as to what the fuel economy might be in a RCSB 5.3 with a 6-speed?

Should be pretty good but they may not have the AFM with the 6sp.

The overdrive, .667 is so good you won't need it.

You can run 3.42's or even 3.07's cause the first gear is so good, 4.027, and get nice gas mileage! And still do a nasty burnout!

That would be like launching in 4LO.

Guys are gonna be destroying driveshafts big time.

Hmm, wonder if the 4x4's will be programmed not to go into 1st gear when 4LO is selected? The torque multiplication is gonna be crazy!
