Why do you guys confuse yourselves?
Call the manual transmission a "T-56" and call the automatic a "6L80-E". These "A4, A6, M6" terms are too imprecise - they're valueless. Nobody's talking about tuning here (where I presume these abbreviated terms come from) and nobody's playing Battleship.
