Default 2007 GMC Sierra add Radio controls to

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra SLE1 that I would like to install the factory Steering Wheel Radio Controls.

I have installed the DIC control panel and was quite surprised how easy THAT was, all the wiring was there , "just plug in the switches!"

I ordered the Remote Start and was quite surprised to recieve only replacement key fobs and instuctions to have the BCM programed by the dealer.(They did CHARGE me $144.00 labor)

Now my question to the readers of this forum:

Can the Steering Wheel Mounted Radio Buttons be addeded to my Steering wheel ?

Will I find the Air Bag Clockspring has the wirring for Buttons already?

Will there be a long list of items need for this upfit?
Any input would be appreciated.

From the schematics I've looked at so far,on similar GM models (little info on 2007 Seirra) These controls use 2 wies and a series osf resistors to destinguish different button functions.

Also if it would be just too expensive or compicated, that information would be helpfull too.

Thanks, Matt

If you look on the GM accessories website, you can find them on there. I think I saw them on there.

Just my thought.....

we had a truck at our dealer mis-ordered for a customer. The customer wanted cruise control, but the truck did not come with cruise, we all assumed that if we had a cruise control steering wheel that it would all work out, but turns out that we needed to add a few extra wires, and a different clock spring. Big PITA, I remember that we had to call GM and they fought with us about how it would void the factory warranty, I don't think it did but way too much work for me. The steering wheel radio controls may be the same story.

.....but again, just my thought
