Default 2007 Active Fuel Management mileage?

Ok, so I figure there has to be a few guys out there with brand new trucks already. How do you like them and how is the mileage with the new AFM stuff?

I drove an AFM equipped Avalanche a while back and have to say it was difficult to drive steady enough to get the fuel management to activate. I'm sure if you did a lot of highway driving it could work out well though as the DIC indicated mileage would skyrocket when it switched to 4cyl.

I see it's even being offered on the 6.0L Max trucks, wonder what type of mileage they will get.

Lets hear it.

I know what you mean, I went with my mom to test drive the new burbans, she drives like an old lady and with even the slightest hill or anything it would kick out of the fuel management program. I doubt it would get much use with me behind the wheel.

I'm tempted to do a 6.2 AFM swap.....not too difficult from what I've been researching.........

fuel managment...ha. everything we do to our trucks forces mileage down, including out right foot.

I'd enjoy it if i was going on a long *** trip, ie to florida which I did about 2 months ago. what kind of mileage does it get while under AFM? like 28'ish? if it got over 30 that'd be pretty nice. I coulda used AFM in my last truck (vortec 454, lifted) with my awesome 9.5 mpg average city
