They made them as W/T C/K models that were stripper trucks, they didn’t look like the OBS that your thinking of. They had very large single head lamps, different grilles, but same body lines of the OBS (1500) the grilles looked like the van front end

They made the OBS front end on 2000/2002 trucks as 2500/3500 C/K lines of utility bodies and cab/chassis trucks, they still classify them as “classic” tho

Maybe in Mexico they did..... not up here they didn't. And W/T's all had those ugly black grilles and single lights unless optioned otherwise. I am also talking about HALF TONS not the 2500 and up trucks which lived on later. The 1500's were carried over through 1999 and that's it.... I had a newspaper clipping from back in the day when the last GMT400 half ton rolled off the line in 99.
