Default 2006 C1500 rear axle assembly compatibility

Hello , I have an opportunity to acquire a complete rear axle from my sister (wrecked her truck) , I just need to remove it before the truck is scrapped . It is an 8.6" 4.10 ratio , I would like to swap into my 2006 Silverado C1500 to improve my towing performance . My 06 has an 8.6" 3.23 ratio . The doner truck is a 2000 silverado C1500 .

Will a 2000 Chevy Silverado C1500 complete rear axle assembly fit a 2006 Chevy Silverado C1500 ? I just need to know it its worth traveling 130 miles to get it .
Any advice is helpful !

Thank You

bolts right up, computer *should* be adjusted for the 11% difference in ratio tho. Speedo, shift tables and odo will be off.

You'll have the option of going to 4 wheel disk brakes also. If I had a GMT 800 truck 130 miles away I could pick clean and see family too... I'd be on the hwy.

The 2000 has the disc brake brackets on it and the flange on the rear end will be cocked 45 degrees as opposed to the flange on the drum brake rear end. You can use it.

my 2006 has drum brakes , so you say I will be able to the 2000 even though it has the flanges cocked 45 degrees ?
Can I bolt the 06 brake backing plates and drum brake system onto the 2000 axle housing tubes ?

Just to clarify it isn’t a C/K obs 00’ model truck correct........ If so they will work but are not 100% bolt in and go
