Default 2004 silverado adding air conditioning

Hi

Looking at a 2004 silverado it is a v6 without air conditioning. Don't care about the v6 would do a v8 swap. I'm question is it can I add factory air conditioning to the truck if I get the parts from a parts truck?

You can but you are going to need everything.

dash wiring harness, dash control, body control module, all ac brackets, hoses, condenser, compressor, then your going to either need a V6 harness that has AC or you will have to wire everything in.

Once you get everything installed you will have to find someone to reflash your ECM and BCM for the AC options. Then hopefully all the used parts are good and your system functions correctly after it's charged and cycling.
