2003 suburban airbag code

Default 2003 suburban airbag code

Alright guys just bought a 03 suburban an it has a airbag code in it. I wouldnt worry about it but its getting on my nerves! The code is B0029 says Passenger side thorax inflator loop open. What in the world is my problem here? Anyoneelse have had this problem? Thanks guys for any help!

You've probably bought a Suburban that has been wrecked or has had the air bad deployed. It's probably been repaired and not had a new SDM installed under the seat. That will leave a hard code in the system. Other than that, it may just need to have the code cleared. Take it to a GM shop and have them scan it and it will be a simple fix either way.

It is a one ownerKy senator owned it since new, Never been wrecked, All factory paint an panels. I have ran the code thats what it says. Just dont know what to check on that code? We own a shop just not familiar with this code.

It is for your passenger, side impact airbag. Check under the passenger seat for a yellow connector. Check the connector and wiring.

Ok cool thanks, I glanced under it yesterday an there is a few of them connectors, One even looks like it has fluid in it?

Fixed it, Thanks man it was the wiring, Someone redid the passenger seat an when ou moved the seat back an fourth it was tuggin on the wires, Loosened em an bam its fixed been fixed for about a month now, Thanks for the help
