It used to lock at a certain speed and unlock when I pulled out the key. But it stopped working. The fob and door buttons still work. What is the fix?

 

This forum is running like sh** and loads blank pages half the time, so I found it on another site. It turns out there is some crazy code on the 00-02 trucks and mine was disabled somehow.

To reactivate, get in and close the door. Hold the high beam stick toward you and do key on, key off, key on, key off, and release the stick. The locks should cycle. Now press lock, unlock, unlock on the door. It is now reactivated.

 

How can I turn it Off???!!!!!!!????????? Same method?

 

I know it's outlined in the owner's manual. But yes. I think there are 3 possible ways for the system to function.

 

Now could you possibly take a 2000 Silverado Body Control Module and install it on a 1999 to get the auto unlock?
