Default 2000 5.3 Silverado

Just picked up a 2000 5.3 silverado. This is my 1st Chevy as I have always had fords and a dodge truck. What are some inexpensive things I can do to liven it up. Plugs, wires , cold air, and stuff I know. Just don't know what brand alot of you guys are running with success. Truck has 223k on the motor and trans and still runs pretty dang good. Just looking to liven it up a little bit.

usually stay with acdelco/ngk electronics stiff. like for plugs, wires, and other sensors. for the intake the airaid mit tube is all you need for just over $100. order from advance online use their code and pick up in store for a awesome price. another thing is the corvette servo, google that one, a circle d stall, and a blackbear tune. sign up right now to get an in-person tune in a few months.

also would look at replacing all the fluids just because you might not know when the last time they were done. not to mention keeping a small stash if the transmission goes out.

All the fluids have been changed on the regular. The truck was my father in laws and he just passed it on to me. Ill check into the other stuff now. Stall will be down the road if I do that.
