I like the way my Tahoe looks MUCH better sitting on 24's rather than 16's

I may have lost some on my ET but I compensated with other mods Besides it looks much cooler and gets more attention when I nail it from a stop and they spin the first 10-15 feet
Yes they slow you down, no I don't care.

you think 20's are bad? when i slapped my 35's on and felt the big drop in performance, i was half tempted to pull the lift off and put the truck back to stock height and put the stock wheels back on. like mentioned above, its the price you pay to have a good lookin truck. i just have to deal with havin a slow truck

I only had my chrome SS wheels on for a couple days, but the truck felt a little quicker with them on. I weighed them vs my 16"s with 8ply AT bfgs, SS comes out to 74lbs, stockers 61lbs, this scale reads 8-10lbs low.

My theory on is the SS wheels are heavier but the weight is closer to the rotatonal centere, where as my stock rim with the heavy 8ply tires, the heavy part is closer to the outside. If they do slow me down it won't be by very much, but we'll see once the track opens again.

Hell yea!! Im with him on that one!! BTW, those 24's look sick as hell on your truck!! I bet they turn heads like a champ!!

The only vehicle that can pull off 24's is a tahoe, suburban, escalade, yukon, etc. Only the big SUV's look good with them IMO. Ive seen a couple trucks with 24's on them and they look kinda goofy to me. I personally think 20's on a RCSB is perfect! I had 22's on my RC but it looked goofy to me cause the rims were too big for how short the truck was. 20's or 22's fit best on extended cabs but 22's is a must on a crewcab. 24's are sick as hell on the big SUV's. Anything bigger than that is just dumb and overdone. I saw a tahoe on 27's cruise by me the other day and it turned my head yes but it looks goofy as hell. He probably had to lift it to fit those big biotches on there. lol

It also destroyed braking performance as well. I learned my lesson and will keep my stock 16's.
I did the exact same thing with SS wheels.I am more about go than show.i could have spent money on a lift and tire/33s+ but gives the opposite effect of what i try to achieve. So the money goes into go fast parts and i am happy looking near stock.I cant see the wheels when I am driving anyways,i dont need to impress anyone.Where i live you have every swinging dick in a power joke doing that.

My stock wheels 50lbs and my 20's are 66lbs. Rims and tires. I don't notice them at all, my braking is really good. I will be going to the track with the stock wheels and the 20's to see as well.

i dont remember what the weights were but my 20's with tires weighed in at a whopping 6lbs. more than my stock wheels/tires so if a drop in unsprung weight of 100lbs equals a tenth in the quarter then 24 extra lbs. isnt going to be to noticeable. just check the weights of the wheels and if you buy some big thick spoked ghetto wheels then yes you will probably feel a big difference.

mine FELT slower but was actually faster... it just didnt spin the **** out of the big wheels and sticky tires like it did with the all terrain stockers. shifting was a little softer, but the predator fixed that. now it feels quicker than it was before.

My SS wheels weighed exactly 20lbs more each than my stockers. According to my g-tech they also made me .5 seconds slower. I love the way they look tho and I could not notice a difference in acceleration when driving it but the times prove that wrong. I will leave my 20's on all the time because they make my truck look good, but when I go to the track I want ppl to see the number up on that lighted sign, and the back of my truck. I dont care how it looks in the staging area...
