Default 1989 Blazer Fuel Tank Opinion

I got a 1989 Full size Blazer, is there any companys or anyone that know that make plastic fuel tanks convertions. I know if i put the same METAL fuel tank would be ok, (trying to save weight), and well I dont want it to rust again, i know if i buy a metal one it wont rust if i keep using regularly, just trying to see if i can find a plastic one or polyurethane that is a prefect fit or replica of the metal one, instead of a fuel cell.

Any sugestions.

You might take a look at some marine fuel tanks, most of those are plastic. Maybe like the ones they use on those 16-18' center console fishing boats?

Only other thing I can think of is find a rear fuel tank from a late model cab & chassis truck. They are mounted between the frame rails like the K5's and hold around 20 gal.

Might ask over here too: http://coloradok5.com/forums/index.php
