Default 1967 GTO going LQ4 what can I get?

Ok this isnt about my truck but need a little help. Ive decided to go with a 6.0L I have, in my GTO. Dont feel like Ebaying my pontiac stuff guy in town said make him a package deal. Now do you think this is fair?

1. 1974 455 short block-$350

2.1967 400 short block-$250

3.1970 455 #64 heads 96cc bare-$300

4.Muncie 4 speed + bellhousing $400

Ive had great success with ebay but dont feel like dealing with shipping stuff on pallats no time. If he takes it all does $1,100 sound fair or am I loosing my mind? Decided to change my mind because numbers dont match so no value for the car and much cooler going FI 6.0L 4l80e or 6 speed.

I wouldn't put a 6.0 in that car. Pure Pontiac in a '67 Goat is cooler.

I'd put the original motor in the shed and go with a 6.0L FO SHO! Vintage sheet metal with a modern drivetrain is the **** nowadays. If you want "original" value then restore the original drivetrain and reinstall it. If you want to enjoy the car with MORE power and modern engine management then go with the 6.0

I love the looks of the 66 and 67 GTOs. Some of those old/new set-ups are selling for more than all-original at the big auctions.

Can't offer you any advice on pricing, but I can say that I want to do exactly what you're doing. Old muscle car styling with new drivetrain and suspension.....doesn't get much better than that. Make sure you post pics of your build

Let me give you something similar to drool over..... 68 (I think) Camaro RS/SS clone with an LS7 My buddy and his dad are building this thing....I want one soooo bad after seeing this. What I wouldn't do to build a car like this

Sell the boat anchors, get the 6.0 you will never regret it.My dad bought a matching# 66 vette 4 speed factory a/c car.Sold the whole drivetrain, grafted an art morrison front clip, put cobra irs on the rear all on air ride.18's on the front 20's on the rear.Traded the 327 4 speed to a H/C lq9 6 speed. The little car is scary fast.My car was A factory SS car 350 4 speed. It now has the mods in my sig.
