Default 160 thermostat ???

I got a new 160 thermostat today and was going to install it but i cant figure out how to drain the radiator. i found the plug on the bottom passenger side of the radiator but dont have enough room to loosen it. just wondering if any one had any tips tricks or hints that might help me or does it even have to be drained completely. thanks in advance for any help

i just put mine in...didnt drain the radiator.....just put a large bucket under the radiator hose/thmostat housing and pull the hose off. fluid will come out but as long as you catch it in the bucket you can just poor it back in....was easy as pie.

nope my temps stay right in between the 160 and 210 marks....about 185 consistantly....truck seems to run a little more efficient.
