Default 12 second SSS at OSW

I rode down to Orlando Speed World yesterday for their No Bull Nats (it's a fastest street car deal) and saw a supercharged SSS running 12.70s at just over 100mph. The truck has a "Cool Charger" on it?!?!?! Oh, and 4 BFG DR's on 16" rims. Yeah, the 255/45's that the F body guys run. Talk about not filling up the fenderwells.

Has anyone heard of this Cool Charger? Google didn't come up w/ anything.

Silverado SS. I've seen a lot of the SS guys using that abbreviation lately.

The coolcharger was what was being used on some of the Escalade XS- 500 from the factory. Its just a centrifugal that supposedly doesnt make as much heat. I looked at them when I first saw the guy in the XS 500 near me. I assumed it was fast with as much as he tryed to coax me into racing him. I think they make 6 or 5# from the factory. Check it out

Sounds like a powerdyne, with the cog driven internal step up gearing.

I bet that system, the intercooled one, is cash money being that you have to hit up the caddy dealership to get one.

Is the powerdyne headunit all that bad? I thought the problems with powerdyne were in the belts, brackets, and everything else included in the kit.
