I have heard this concern before so what do you propose as an alternative? I'm not being condescending, I just mean we ultimately decide the terminology ouselves so what acronym can we all agree on? It needs to be catchy and simple so that everybody adopts it. I use "NNBS" in image, thread or parts seraches all the time because everybody has accepted it as a universal description for the 07.5-2013 trucks. Maybe a generation designation? What Gen is this truck now?
Someone needs to come up with something, because NNNNNBS is going to make my head explode.

Why not include the previous generations since they are all still C/K trucks. I would consider the generations as follows:
Gen1 1960-1966
Gen2 1967-1972
Gen3 1973-1987
Gen4 1988-1999
Gen5 2000-2007
Gen6 2007.5-2013
So that would make this Gen7 or CK7 if you prefer? If enough people agree, pick a name, and start throwing it around, you will have helped create the new title lol.

they leave power on the table for warranty on longevity reasons. id say on the average of a basic maf/pe/timing tune about 20whp. once you dig into the cam tables and injection timing, different fuels etc etc im sure there would be another 10-15 in it.

Okay so just for fun here are my HP guess 4.3-325hp, 5.3-400hp, 6.2-475hp. Feel free to throw out your guesses and lets see how we fair.

Yep alum block, 11:1 CR, DI, VVT. Should make for a pretty damn nice base motor. I would like to speculate HP numbers.... so if the 4.3 makes 300, which seems reasonable, can we expect 360ish from the 5.3 and 480 from the 6.2? Not to mention all the torque under the curve thanks to the improved VVT and then whatever they make on E85....

What do you guys think of the rear bumper steps? Functional...but looks awful, IMO.

What I can tell you is this.... the 4.3liter V6 engine will out perform a stock LS1 in every area possible. Or to say it another way it will drag the STOCK LS1 ***** against the Asphalt. That should give you some type of gaming changing performance we are looking at going forward.
They sure are talking these new engines up quite a bit. I'm anxious to see what they deliver.
