If your kit has a seperate belt and an add on pulley for the crankshaft,it's probably safe to say it's an older kit(maybe not)
Where did you get the kit from??Buy it new or used??

if you are not sure of the wiring i wouldn't be beating on the thing. are you using the whipple FMU? do you have a boost gauge? do you have atap?
i have instructions for the older kit(one with 2 belts) i could send you a copy of the wiring instructions if you want, let me know.

I bought the kit from a guy here on ls1tech, Blacksheep he's from Jackson i think he said he knew you Ranwalk his name is Curt. The wiring seems to be color coded the same on the new instructions as they are on my kit so im pretty sure the wiring is right, it just showed a pigtail connecter on the new kit and mine did not have it. I have the Whipple Boost-a-Pump but it seems to be dummy wired because the wires just plug into each other kinda like to just loop the circuit they didnt wire into anything other than the whipple computer. I dont have atap or anything like that. And still no word from Whipple, im gonna give them a call.

Hey parish8 if you could send me a copy of that old wiring diagram that would be great. Ive been checking and re-checking my connections and i got to thinking that maybe the wires connect to a different wire than on the old kit. I also noticed it flashes the code when you turn the key on, it doesnt have to be running. I dont know i'm new at this. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Im not disappointed with the time but i still think that it should run faster. Here are a few runs with that exhaust system installed:

Hey, thanks for the info. I went back to the track this weekend and went 13.6@101 so its getting better. I talked with Whipple and told them what my exhaust setup was now and they said i would definetly see a big difference with a better flowing exhaust system. So im going to the muffler shop tomorrow and gonna see what we can change.
