Has a lot to do if you are running 20 inch wheels and tires. My 07 Classic Crew Cab w/ 5.3 does 20mpg on the highway and about 16mpg driving through town traffic. However I run the 17 inch wheel w/ a 265/70 Nitto.

Mileage was definitely better with the stock 17's that came on my truck.

16-17 city, 20-22 hwy, stock 20s, 3.73 gears, stock exhaust. (old)

17-19 city. Haven't gone on a road trip yet since the tune and gibson catback. I got 17 right when I got the tune and still had about a 1/4 tank of 87 and the rest was 93, and I made several runs to 100+ and got on it everywhere I went. Since then, I have driven normal with the occasional heavy foot and still manage to get close to 19 in town driving only.

Get one the deals are great right now.

If things go well for me I may get myself a crew cab dually next year sometime.

I wish I got a extended or crew cab becouse I often need to carry more people then my RCSB can seat. This must be a Karma thing as when I had a large car no-one ever rode with me, and now I have a RCSB I need to shuttle people now?

I'm not sure how some of you guys are getting over 20mpg with VMAX trucks. The best I've been able to squeeze out was 17mpg dead stock with 17in. wheels. Filled up last night after mixed city/highway driving and got 14.5mpg.

My Father's 08 CCSB 5.3 4WD w/17's has gotten a best of 18.5mpg pure highway, and that was one time.

If a tune is what's needed, tell me exactly what needs to be done. My truck is more fun to drive but the daily driver Lumina gets 10mpg better, pretty much a no brainer.

I get about 17-18 on the highway and 13-14 in the city. I pull a 2500lb landscape trailer a lot and only get about 11-12 mpg. I was getting about 2 mpg's higher before I went to a SIDO flowmaster Super 44. And no it's not because I get in the throttle because I like the sound, it really did drop 2 mpg. I also bought a diabolo sport predator and installed the 93 octane tune b/c some claimed that would help gas mileage but didn't see any change higher or lower.

My 6.0 gets over 23mpg on the highway with 3.42s. In the city I get about 11mpg. Last tank was 12.6
