06 1/2 ton 2rwd lq4 swap
I purchased a used 06 1/2 ton work truck for my work last fall, been a good truck but looking to add some sleeper power!
Some scratchs and dents and house paint here and there on it. lol
So I picked up a lq4 outta a 05 truck that had a spun cam bearing. The engine looks very clean as in rest of the bearing were clean and no cylinder wear.
I'm thinking send to machine shop to check block cooked clean hone and lq9 piston swap. So question is being not familiar with gmc efi stuff is what's it's stock limits for hp as well as fuel delivery?
2nd I'd like to keep stock converter.
3rd what's a good cam for overall drivability will maxing the stock converter without push ness at idle.
And 5th I'm going to run some Texas speed long tubes with duals with unsure muffers.
Is 400hp at crank doable without major tuning?
Looking for similar proven combos or suggestions.
Just looking for some sleeper zip to make people go "wtf" a dude with ladders just past me!! lol

I can tell you for a Fact that the Texas Speed & Performance 1 7/8 F-Body headers will fit on our truck WITHOUT cutting the frame or anything like that. You will need to reroute the trans lines. I did 6 AN lines with a Tru-Cool 40K trans cooler.

A 6.0 practically breathes on it's own, so any small cam will do although many will pont you to bigger and Bigger and a stall and on and on...............
