Default 05 Yukon rear glass wind deflector?

I was poking around a GMC lot the other day and noticed the 05 yukons had some sort of plastic piece around the top of the rear glass. It looked like a wind deflector of some sort? It was made to go around the the 3rd tail light up top.

Does anyone have any information on this part? Maybe a part number and how it attaches. Can it be retrofit on an earlier model? say an 02 model? Thanks in advance for any help.

check with gmaccessories or pace performance who sells gm accessories. it should be the same 99-05 with out a problem. i could use one on my burb, but $79-99 seems a little high in price for one.

i have seen some tahoes and yukons with them before. you should beable to use it on an earlier model from 2000-2005 because they are all the same.

I just saw a brand new Yukon at a dealership and it is different than the one above. It looked like a molded piece that sat flush on the glass.

that would be the one I am looking for. It has to be a factory piece because all of the yukons on the lot had them. Maybe I will just give the stealership a call.......fat chance they will give up the part number though.

I saw that very piece on a yukon at sonic the other day. I decided to do some investigating and went to the lots. Maybe youve noticed this too, and maybe theres no correlation and its complete coincidence, but I only saw the spoilers on the LT chevs and SLT gmcs and the hatch glass has bare edges. On the LS/SLE (gmc?), it is absent and theres the rubber/plastic around the edge of the hatch glass.

I'd like this piece too, if anyone can twist the parts guy's arm and get a # from 'em thatd be too cool. I'd ask mine but he quit cooperating with me when I started cheating on him, getting the numbers from him and ordering them elsewhere.. A man has needs ya know.

it is part of the back glass. GM change the back glass cause the hinges coming off the old style.

I don't think it is made into the glass. From what I have seen it looks like it would be very easy to retrofit......provided we can get a part number
