I have a black '05 CCSB 2wd.. I hate the gray grill and the gray valance. Did GM make a black grill and/or valance for the '05?

I know they made a black valance for the '06 trucks, but is it interchangeable?

Also, I thought about just spraying them both with some krylon fusion and hope for the best, but not sure if it would stand up to bug impacts at 80mph and come off, as this is my dd. Any suggestions?

yeah the valances are interchangeable, 06 and 07 are the only ones that were black on the bottom. Also if you find a top cover from 06 and 07 they were painted to match... probably very hard to find but they would be smooth and black painted (not the rough cheap garb).

Either get your stock stuff smoothed and painted by a professional, or just look for 06 and 07 goods.

 

Yeah, I'll probably just try to find a '06 lower valance to get rid of the grey..

But what about the ugly **** grey grill? Could I paint it or dye it?

 

With the grill you could probably just paint that black, or put an overlay over it like the black chrome speed grille by street scene. These you dont have to cut as far as I'm aware and they just clip over the stock grill.
