Default 03' vs 04'

Looking at getting a newer truck for my LS1 platform. I like the newer styling of the 03' Chevys better too.
Is there any difference's between the 03' & 04's that would make one better than the other?

Thanks

Get an 05. They come with e-fans from factory. Just be carefull not to get those 3.23:1 gears.

The only difference between the 03 and 04's is the HP and TQ.

03= 285/325
04= 295/335

05= efans, drum rear brakes, standard 3:23 gears YUK!!!! optional 3:73's, and stock 17" wheels.

Yeah, I would stay away from 05's. The efans are nice, but rear drums and standard 3.23's. Blah.... I drove my parents 05 silvy 1500 crew cab, just like mine, except 05 not 04 like mine. They had 3.23's, damn, I had to get on it to get on the freeway, and almost got into a huge freakin accident with oncoming traffic. Its way worse than my 3.90's but it was even pretty damn bad compared to my stock 3.42's that I had.

I'd like to get the 05' with the new L33 engine but the payments are a tade bit too high for me.
Most of the 05's I saw on the lot had 3.42 gears.

Hmmm....I thought the 03's were also 295. Oh well learn something new. Yeah don't really care for the rear drums but they do work nice in the one I test drove.
I'm keeping my efans from my truck to put in the new one and hopefully the 03/04 will have 3:73's already in it.

Another question, are all the 03 & 04 5.3's the flex fuel or is that only on certain ones?
