mine is doing great!
haven't had much seat time in it since i've been working offshore alot.
haven't brake stalled it or looked to see how much it flashes to yet.
i can tell you my shift extensions went from 4900 with the yank ss3600 down to 4600 with this 3000 converter. that's shifting at 6500 rpms just to give you an idea, really not much difference but the price is

Have you spoken with Yank about the 2600? Assuming that your running a 4.8 from you name, I don't think you would be happy with it... When I talked to Dave at yank (I think that was his name), he said the TT3000 would only stall to about 2500-2600, so that would make the think the 2600 would only stall to 2100-2200.... He told me the 4.8 really needs the smaller diameter TC to stall correctly...

Yea, spoke to him awhile back and he recommended a 3200 if I remember correctly. Honestly I am really just trying get something that will get rid of the bog this thing has out of the hole when you get on it from a dig, some shift extension improvements would be nice as well. But I am really only looking for a step above stock, really something relatively mild to maintain as much driveability and gas mileage as possible. Basically my reasoning behind goin w/ a 2600.....

I actually have a tt2600 I bought from a forum member many months ago. He said it was used with like 20-25k on it as I recall. I have never installed it. I have gone back and forth about it, as I have read different things here.

I have read that you can tow with this one and it will not hurt driveability except when you throttle up.

I have seen a discussion just a few days ago where people claim the shifts get soft/slip with a stall, and that you have to have a tune to take that effect out.

Then I read here that the thing won't stall much above stock.

So honestly I dont know what to believe. I am still torn between selling it or installing it. I have a small crack in my oil pan and I figure, rather than drop the front axle and all that bullshit, I might just pull the engine so I can swap the oilpan, and install the converter at the same time. But then if I turn out not to like it, it'll be a bitch to change back (awd denali). I've never experimented with a stall so I am not really sure what to expect.

I'm not really saying that I want to sell it, but as with anything I have, if the offer is good enough then I will turn loose of it. I would certainly not want to lose anything on what I have in it if I were to sell it.
