WTB HP Tuners
#11
Yeah you do, but I wouldn't need it much once I got my truck tuned. I can't find anyone around here to tune. Maybe if your comfortable tuning I could just pay you for a tune or something. I'm putting my 408 in soon and I need it done right.

Email Charlie Wheatley. He can take care of you via mail. I don't know how to tune squat except the transmission part. Fuel and spark are black magic and I don't fool with them.

Here's how it should work.
1: Read your PCM and save the file. You will be prompted to license the file at this time, but it isn't necessary yet.
2: E-mail the stock file to Wheatley, pay him whatever fees he's going to charge you.
3: Recieve your e-mailed NEW FILE and open it with HPTuners. At this time you will be asked again to license the file. If you don't license it at this time, you won't be able to modify it or flash it into your PCM.
4: THIS IS IMPORTANT--- when you flash the new 2-bar file, you MUST do a write entire. DO NOT do a write calibration.
5: Datalog and adjust/tweak tune until it's perfect.
Hope that helps. There's alot of information about this on the HPT forums. There are tutorials that will help you, but you must read up and watch the videos. If you have a good general understanding of how electronic fuel injection systems work, and how spark advance works, you will catch on fast.
Check out this link regarding 2-bar, and consider doing it all yourself. http://www.hptuners.com/help/demos/2%20bar%20sd.swf
