Mine has a fold down cup holder there....it's not 100% necessary in a regular cab though, no back seat...

so a person could go to the dealer or such and buy the cup holder piece and just clip it into the holes on the back and have the nice smooth piece instead of the big ol hole in there.?

i would think so but no sure. i would also assume you could get the front part up to the dash from the dealer as well to add on to this one or am i wrong?

I'm still interested only thing is I have to oil the console because the latch got stuck (common problems I've heard, just needs to be oiled).

oil the console i thought he was getting rid of his not trading for one. are you wanting a center seat also?
