I am looking into swapping a 6 liter and 4l80 or 60 into my 81 c10. I want a 6 liter for sure, but will use a 5.3 or 4.8 for mock up purposes. Would like to stay in a reasonable price range.

 

I saw a company, I foget where the heck it was, that sold plastic engine blocks for a few hundred bucks, same casting as the short block, around 200 bucks if I remember right, the LS1 could be decked out with more parts like heads and what not for more money....

 

Look at the post in this section ... its says 4.8 long block.... he wants 375 for it....
