That is awesome news Torqstorm! Very very interested in hearing how it goes. I'm thinking it should work fine. Obviously no intercooler but in another thread on here in the vendor builds someone did make a custom one to fit between the condenser and radiator. I'm going to be adding a trans cooler in front behind the grille already and with the H2 and the front hinged hood, etc there is not a ton of room in front. Regardless an intercooler is not really required. I'd also be very interested in roughly what sort of HP and torque gains I could expect just bolting it on and loading a basic tune.

This is a pic under the hood looking down. Might not help - I probably need to pull the intake tube off to better see things. That would probably have to be replaced regardless. Couple of other notes on my setup. If I get this, when I install it, I will also be removing the clutch fan and installing OEM GM electric fans which are ECM controlled so that will add a nice bit of room in front of the engine. I do not have a cam but do have full long tube headers, high flow cats, and a full GMPP (Borla) stainless cat back. I do have an EFI Live but I have not yet had time to really learn tuning yet so a decently drivable tune will also be important to me. On a tune the most important bit will be that it is not locked or anything as I need to be able to edit it with EFI Live so I can enable the electric fans. I do also have a Diablo Sport Intune as well so a tune "could" be in that format as well (but EFI Live would be preferable) as I could load a tune with the Intune, back it up with the EFI Live, then restore from the Intune to un-marry it, then restore from the EFI Live. Other than the full exhaust system the engine is stock. Worst case I can probably source a tune on the EFI Live forums as well to use as a good starting point.

I can maybe see problems with the headunit fitting on the passenger side because you have the AC line and heater core lines in the way. Also the inner fender well is really far over and close to the engine on that side and that is where half of the headunit will have to sit.

If you did install one without anything else besides fuel upgrades and a tune you could expect 100-125hp gain in most cases. Remember that procharger style blowers make power throughout the rpm range with the most being up top. So it would be a gradual increase from say 20-120hp as the rpm rise.

Hmmmm.... you know I had totally forgotten about that. Centrifugals are very linear and in my case, I tow quite a bit and am looking for more power all over. Saw the price and started thinking ahead of where I most want to make more power which is really mostly in the lower half of the RPM range. I might be better off holding off until I can find (and afford) a twin screw to stick on top. Still very interested to see what Torqstorm reports on the fitment though. I'm pretty active on a Hummer board as well and many members there would also be interested.

The centrifugal will be the easiest on the transmission. Its an NA power band, just more of it. The Roots/TVS will be the hardest on the trans, but perhaps the easiest to fit and install.

Since you have a 6.0, you could do square port heads and do an LSA build if you wanted. Its an option.

If you have the 6.2, I definitely would consider it, without a doubt.
