as you can see from the photos, the lobes a good and the threads are not stripped out.

I micd it, and it was .600" lift on the intake and .522" on the exhaust like its supposed to be. I measured the difference in height of the base circle and multiplied it by 1.7, the ratio of the rockers.

 

so it probally wouldnt be a good idea to use ls6 yellow springs...

 

918's will work. They used to be rated for .625'' lift. Also, the cam wont need to be spun past 6500, and that makes it easier on springs.
