what did the truck run with the kit on it? could the kit be modified to work on an extended cab?

You would just need to add a little length to the setup, so yes it could be done. The kit made 501rwhp on my 4.8l on 15psi & 325 on base 6psi.

does the kit come with the adjustable boost controller? what would it take to be able to run 15psi on a stock motor?

no i have looked into what it take to run 15psi on stock motor. just wanted to see what he didi to the 4.8 to run 15psi

I believe that was Parish...

Depending on the extent of what you consider to be running a safe range in psi for the stock motor, you are going to have to do a few things.

Personally, I would never go over 10 psi b/c you are going to screw your transmission royally... but with that being said, I think you can get away with just swapping plugs, much bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, Look into a better oil pump for the turbo, maybe new valve springs, and either an Intercooler and/or methanol injection for the spike in the IAT's at higher boost.... that being said, get a REAL GOOD TUNE at the same time.


EDIT: I would consider all of this the bare minimum for running this kit at higher boost, otherwise you're wasting your time or looking for an engine to go Fubar real quick.

thanks man i am talking to Allen Nelson about do the tune and installing the turbo kit. i am thinking a base kit with the cam allen sugests for the time being but after i install a 4L65e or 4L80e thin i will upgrade to atleast 10psi.

I am running methanol on my setup The 15psi will definately kill parts
